Studio Nila is currently weaving our first collaboration between two New York-based visual artists and master artisans and art revivalists in Bangladesh: handwoven, quilted raw silk wall hangings dyed using the shibori technique.
These wall hangings will be available through direct purchase, textile gift exchange and barter. A percentage of all proceeds will go directly to the artisans, with the remainder reinvested in materials, future collaborations and the nascent textile library built through our circular/gifting exchange.
